So several months after my accident, I noticed that my side skirts started to come off at the front. I checked the inside and the part that hold the clip is broken. So even if you insert a new clip, which I tried and failed, it won’t stay. Besides getting a new side skirt what’s my options? The best I got is glue the mofo.

Don’t quote me, but I think usually the screw hole is a clip itself that goes on the fender well liner, so if you replace both the screw and the screwhole clip, might work.

How was it supposed to be held in behind? Was there another dedicated component? In other words... is there any possibility of drilling a new hole and putting the clip in there?

Otherwise... Yeah. That. Glue the mofo.

I would get another fender liner screw and use that.

Clean both area thoroughly with alcohol, then us double-sided foam tape.

There’s holders for the clips on the side skirt side, and the front’s broken. I think my options are drill and make my own hole, or glue. But I hate the glue.

Thanks. May have to go with that.

it’s metal behind, right? Maybe a stainless self tapping screw so you wouldn’t need a nut or anything on the back side. If not - then glue and clamp it overnight.

Is possible to glue a washer to the torn plastic so as to reinforce the torn hole and allow you to still use another plastic rivet? (factory appearance, easy to take apart if needed)

That doesn’t sound like a bad plan at all. It would be very inconspicuous
